A missing 75-year-old Nepali woman, Manmaya Magar, has been found at New York’s Coney Island Hospital, according to reports. Manmaya Magar went missing on Monday, February 6th, while dropping off her granddaughter at an elementary school in Sunnyside, Queens. She was living in the United States with her son and daughter-in-law and was unable to speak English.
The New York Police Department had launched an investigation into her disappearance and appealed to the public for help in locating her. The Nepalese community in New York had also been working to find Manmaya Magar.
The discovery of Manmaya Magar at Coney Island Hospital brings much-needed relief to her family and the community. The details of her whereabouts and how she ended up at the hospital are yet to be disclosed, but it is hoped that she is in good health and receiving the necessary care.
