Nepali Parkour Athlete Dinesh Sunar Sets 7th Guinness World Record in the USA

‘The most backward somersaults while skipping in 30 seconds is 14, and was achieved by Dinesh Sunar (Nepal), in Akron, Ohio, USA, on 4 May 2022.’ Guinness World Records confirmed.

Dinesh has been attempting (and achieving!) Guinness World Records titles since 2017. His records include most standing full twist backflips in 30 seconds (13) and most twisting backflips off a wall in 30 seconds (parkour) (12). He attempted this title to inspire kids to try the sport of parkour.

Breaking the record held by Japanese athlete Daisuke Mimura after 10 years, Nepalese parkour athlete Dinesh Sunar has set the seventh world record.

His sixth world record was registered by Guinness Book last month. Sunar had set this record by performing most standing full twist backflips 13 times in 30 seconds. He attempted this record on June 10 in Akron, Ohio, and the attempt was successful.

In 2017, Sunar earned two Guinness records in Kathmandu, most backward somersaults off a wall in 30 seconds (16) and most twisting backflips off a wall in one minute (18).

In 2019, he earned a Guinness record for most twisting backflips off a wall in 30 seconds (12) in Kathmandu.

In 2020,  he earned the Guinness record for most backward somersaults on a trampoline in one hour (460).
