U.S. Embassy Nepal’s “Creators Mela 2026” to Kick Off Tomorrow in Chitwan

The Creator’s Mela 2026: Vision to Venture, an initiative of the U.S. Embassy in Nepal aimed at transforming digital creativity into sustainable business ventures, will kick off tomorrow, January 17, in Chitwan. The nationwide event will continue in Nepalgunj on January 24 and conclude with a two-day finale in Kathmandu on January 30–31, 2026.

Now in its fourth edition, the Creator’s Mela marks a shift from content creation to creative entrepreneurship, providing Nepal’s digital storytellers with tools to turn influence into enterprise. This year’s theme, Vision to Venture, focuses on bridging creativity and commerce by integrating U.S. expertise in technology, monetization, and digital business development.

“Creator’s Mela 2026 reflects the United States’ commitment to strengthening Nepal’s creative economy,” said Mike Harker, Public Affairs Chief at the U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu. “By enhancing knowledge, skills, and networks nationwide, we are supporting entrepreneurship and job creation, positioning Nepali creators for success in global markets alongside American business partners.”

Through concerts, workshops, and interactive panels, participants will explore how to grow their careers and build sustainable creative enterprises.

A highlight of the Kathmandu summit is Pitch to Success, where emerging creators will present their business ideas directly to leading corporate figures — Anand Bagaria of Nimbus, Cabinet Shrestha of Agni Group, and Bishakha Khadka Kunwar of Ncell — for real-time mentorship and feedback.

Since its inception in 2023, Creator’s Mela has evolved into a national platform strengthening Nepal’s digital economy. The Embassy says the 2026 edition will further empower young entrepreneurs to build professional careers, foster innovation, and expand economic opportunities beyond the capital.
