In a dazzling display of talent and philanthropy, Dr. Nabin Shah from Nepal graced the International Ipoh Fashion Week (IIFW) Season 5, leaving an indelible mark as both a medical professional and a sought-after international model. Dr. Shah, along with renowned designer Mrs. Manju Dhakal Banjara, represented Nepal at this prestigious fashion event held in Ipoh, Malaysia.
Dr. Nabin Shah, a medical doctor by profession, finds solace and rejuvenation in the world of modeling during his free time. His modeling journey began in 2016, and since then, he has risen to prominence, participating in various top-brand advertisements and fashion shows nationally and internationally. Currently, he holds the esteemed position of Brand Ambassador for Dreamwear Fashion Boutique by Manju Dhakal and Derm Dynamics by Dr. Anil Kr Bhatta.
His list of accolades includes winning the title of Mr. College 2009, receiving the Best Personality Award at Panache Runway 2016, securing a position in the Top 5 at Top Model India 2017, and achieving the notable Best Male Model 2021 Award at the World Fashion Festival in Dubai.
Mrs. Manju Dhakal, a distinguished designer from Nepal, showcased her rich and authentic designs at the Dream Wear Fashion boutique by Manju Dhakal during the IIFW Season 5. Her creations captivated an audience of over 2000, including Her Royal Highness Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim, members of the Perak Royal Family, foreign ambassadors, and celebrities. Mrs. Dhakal, the owner of Dream Wear Fashion for the past 18 years, also served as the official designer for Miss Universe Nepal 2023 and received the title of Best Fashion Designer of the Decade in 2019.
IIFW, known for its fusion of fashion and philanthropy, carries a unique theme each year. This year’s theme, “Fashion With Heart,” aimed to support the Paediatric High Dependency Unit (PHDU) at Hospital Seri Manjung. Driven by a charitable cause, Dr. Nabin Shah expressed his deep connection to the event, emphasizing its commitment to bringing smiles to those in need.
The grand success of IIFW Season 5 was attributed to the visionary founders, Louis Sebastian and Adelene Khan, along with their dedicated team. Choreographer Vin Heusen Mohamad received accolades for his splendid work in orchestrating the runway performances. Dr. Nabin Shah set a benchmark among international designers, Her Royal Highness, the audience, and the organizers with his striking looks, poise, and confidence.
Adding to the accolades, Dr. Nabin Shah received gifts from two Indonesian designers, Tiaanitafashion and Shanadstudio, further solidifying his international recognition in the world of fashion.
The International Ipoh Fashion Week, with its global representation of over 80 models and more than 10 designers from countries such as Nepal, Indonesia, Singapore, China, and Malaysia, showcased the diversity and creativity that defines the world of fashion.
