USCIS has announced that employment-based green card applicants filing from within the United States must continue using the Visa Bulletin’s Final Action Dates chart in June, narrowing the group eligible to submit Form I-485. This means applicants can file Form I-485 only when their priority date is earlier than the final action date listed for their category and country.
The June 2026 Visa Bulletin shows that EB-1 and EB-2 are current for all countries except China and India, while EB-3 remains backlogged for most countries and several other employment-based categories remain date-limited.
For employment-based third preference (EB-3) skilled workers, the final action date is June 1, 2024, for most countries; August 1, 2021, for China; December 15, 2013, for India; and August 1, 2023, for the Philippines.
For other workers, the final action date is February 1, 2022, for most countries; April 1, 2019, for China; December 15, 2013, for India; and November 1, 2021, for the Philippines. For fourth preference (EB-4) workers and certain religious workers, the final action date is July 15, 2022, for all countries. The EB-5 category for rural, high-unemployment, and infrastructure investors remains current in June.
The bulletin also notes that visa issuance rates for some countries have been affected by administration actions. Since January 21, the State Department has paused immigrant visa issuance for citizens of 75 countries, including Nepal.
