The song from the upcoming web series “Ghar But in America” (Home but in the U.S.), which tells the story of Nepali immigrants in the United States, has been released.
Filmed in Maryland, this situational comedy-drama captures the lifestyle and relationships of the Nepali community in the U.S. The series explores themes of humor and emotion while depicting the challenges and experiences of immigrant life.
The special song for its first season, titled “Americama Ghar Cha” (Home in the U.S.), features vocals by Nishan Bhattarai, music and production by Arjun Katuwal, and lyrics by DP Khanal, with co-lyricist Prajwal Khanal. The song, recorded at Feel Studio and mixed and mastered by Ashish Raitani, includes a melodious flute performance by Swarnim Maharjan. The series’ overall mixing and mastering were handled by Amit Shrestha at Nepasa Studio. The music video highlights the series’ lead actors and gives audiences a glimpse into its humorous and emotional storytelling.

The story revolves around a young woman in a secret live-in relationship. When her parents visit the U.S. for the first time from Nepal, she faces challenges in concealing her relationship. This situation leads to a series of comedic and emotionally charged events, forming the core of the series’ narrative.
Produced by 7 Colors Digital, the series is conceptualized and directed by Bimlesh Adhikari, with Roshan Ghimire serving as the executive producer. The creative team includes writer Biebek Chamlagain, who has crafted the story, screenplay, and dialogues, along with cinematographer Bikrant Man Shrestha and editor Mitra D. Gurung. Color and graphics are handled by Milan Bikram Shah, while post-production is managed by Nepalese Hands. Assistant camera work is done by Bishal Man Shrestha, and publicity design is created by Saibrat Acharya. Media coordination is led by Jiwan Parajuli, and Sophie Sunuwar serves as the makeup artist.

Bimlesh Adhikari, originally from Biratnagar, Nepal, is not only the director but also a key actor in the series. A well-known figure in the Nepali entertainment industry, Adhikari has contributed to over 250 music videos and several acclaimed films, including “Brake Fail,” “Mutu,” “Jung Bahadur Ko Coat,” “Tulsi,” and “Mero Best Friend.” Now residing in Maryland, Adhikari continues to shape and enrich Nepali entertainment abroad by blending his artistic vision with stories that resonate globally.
