The Nepali situational comedy-drama series, GHAR but in America, has officially commenced shooting in Maryland, USA. This new series promises to bring a blend of humor and heartfelt moments as it explores the cultural clash and familial bonds of a Nepali family navigating life in the USA.
The story revolves around a young Nepali woman who is secretly in a live-in relationship. As her parents prepare for their first visit to America from Nepal, she must juggle the ensuing chaos and shenanigans while trying to keep her relationship under wraps.
The production team includes Bimlesh Adhikari as the concept creator and director, with 7 Colors Digital as the production company. Roshan Ghimire serves as the line producer, Bibek Chamlagai as the writer, Bibek Rasaili as the assistant director, Pashupati Bashyal as the director of photography (DOP), and Apsara Katuwal as the makeup artist (MUA).
The cast features Arunima Lamsal, Bimlesh Adhikari, Radha Bhabu Lamsal, Khem Sharma, and debut performances by Samaroha Mainali, Rojeena Thapa, and Ashish Dahal. The series is set to capture the essence of Nepali culture while highlighting the unique challenges and comedic situations that arise from living in a foreign land. “This series is a contemporary story. Every Nepali can feel it. Another important thing is, this series also sends a message that you don’t have to be in Nepal geographically to innovate in the digital era; you can do something from abroad,” said Bimlesh Adhikari. He has hope, love, and support from the audience. “Just like the world is based on hope and faith, there is a lot of hope, love, and support for everyone,” Bimlesh expressed his hope.
Bimlesh Adhikari, born on November 10, 1985, in Biratnagar, Nepal, is a renowned Nepalese actor, model, and director residing in Maryland. He has made a significant mark in the Nepali entertainment industry, particularly through his work in over 250 music videos and several notable films.
Bimlesh debuted in the Nepali movie industry with the film Break Fail and has since starred in popular movies like Mutu, Jung Bahadur Ko Coat, Tulashi, and Mero Best Friend. Known for his versatility, he has also directed and acted in numerous music videos while residing in the United States.
Recently, he made a comeback to the Nepali music scene with the music video Antim Patra, showcasing his enduring appeal and talent. Bimlesh continues to be a prominent figure in Nepali media, contributing to both the artistic and cultural landscape.
