The Miss Nepal North America 2024 pageant has unveiled its top 20 finalists, a diverse group of contestants from across the United States and Canada. The announcement was made by Sailesh Shrestha, the visionary behind Dreams Universal and the CEO of the pageant.
The finalists are Sarita Thagunna (Texas), Adishree Regmi (Texas), Sujana Sunuwar (Texas), Prija Rana (New York), Nancy Khadka (Maryland), Drishya Dhital (Ohio), Rubina Giri (Maryland), Sarju Thapa (Colorado), Sofie Pokharel (Georgia), Ruby Poudel (Maryland), Swrikiti Khadka (Ontario, Canada), Usha Shah (California), Anna Koirala (North Carolina), Onika Baniya (New Jersey), Aayusha Tuladhar (Minnesota), Reeja Puri (Boston), Sabita Chaulagai (Colorado), Anu Sebedi (Halifax, Canada), Asmita Giri (New York) and Ashmita Tuladhar (Michigan).
The annual event, which celebrates Nepali culture and talent, is scheduled for August 3 at the Melrose Ballroom in New York. The pageant has become a prestigious platform for young Nepali women in North America, offering them the opportunity to showcase their abilities and advocate for causes close to their hearts.
Esteemed personalities such as former Miss Nepal winners Shrinkhala Khatiwada and Sadichha Shrestha, along with actress Priyanka Karki, have graced the judging panel in the past. The reigning Miss Nepal North America 2023, Jubilee Sherpa, will pass on the crown to her successor at this year’s grand finale.
Online voting for the ‘Miss Popular 2024’ title is now open.
Sadichha Shrestha returns as the choreographer, while Priya Rani Lama, Miss Cosmopolitan 2019, will mentor the finalists and train them in ramp walking.
