Rabi Lamichhane, who renounced US citizenship and joined Nepali politics, became the Home Minister. He renounced his US citizenship in the first half of 2018.
Initially popular in Nepal as a program presenter on television, he joined politics this year by opening a new party. His party won 20 seats in the elections.
President Bidya Devi Bhandari has administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed three deputy prime ministers and ministers including Lamichhane today.
At a special function held at the office of the President, Sheetal Niwas, President Bhandari administered the oath of office and secrecy to Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Narayankaji Shrestha and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Rabi Lamichhane.

Similarly, MinistersโJwala Kumari Sah, Damodar Bhandari, Rajendra Kumar Rai, and Abdul Khan also took the oath of office and secrecy.
