Anna Koirala from North Carolina has been crowned Miss Nepal North America 2024. The final competition took place on Saturday at the Melrose Ballroom in Queens, New York. Ruby Paudel secured the first runner-up position, while Adishree Regmi was named the second runner-up.
The event saw 18 contestants vying for the title, including Adishree Regmi (Texas), Sujana Sunuwar (Texas), Prija Rana (New York), Nancy Khadka (Maryland), Drishya Dhital (Ohio), Sarju Thapa (Colorado), Sofie Pokharel (Georgia), Ruby Poudel (Maryland), Swrikiti Khadka (Ontario, Canada), Usha Shah (California), Anna Koirala (North Carolina), Onika Baniya (New Jersey), Aayusha Tuladhar (Minnesota), Reeja Puri (Boston), Sabita Chaulagai (Colorado), Anu Sebedi (Halifax, Canada), Asmita Giri (New York) and Ashmita Tuladhar (Michigan).
The event was graced by notable personalities such as actress Anchal Sharma, actor Anup Bikram Shahi, immigration attorney Bashu Phulara, actress Barsha Raut, Usha Upreti, Dr. Udip Shrestha, Miss Nepal Universe 2020 Anshika Sharma, model Bhavna Kalwani, model and presenter Sagarika Shrestha, artist Mampi Ghosh, and Miss Nepal North America 2022 winner Pratiyusha Bohra.
Sailesh Shrestha, the founder of Dreams Universal and CEO of Miss Nepal North America, organized the event, which is held annually in August.
Last year’s title was held by Jubilee Sherpa. This year, 10 contestants were directly nominated for the grand finale. Miss Nepal 2010, Sadiksha Shrestha, returned as the choreographer for the event, while Miss Cosmopolitan 2019, Priya Rani Lama, served as the mentor and ramp walk trainer.
