Nepali Community in New Jersey to Host “Nepal Day 2026” on June 6 in Fair Lawn
The Nepali community in New Jersey is set to host Nepal Day NJ 2026, a cultural festival celebrating heritage, diversity and community unity in Fair Lawn.
The event, scheduled for June 6 from noon to 6 p.m., will take place at Memorial Park (Schmidt’s Field) and the Memorial School parking lot. Organizers say the annual gathering aims to showcase Nepali traditions while strengthening ties within the broader New Jersey community.
The program is being organized under the leadership of Nepal Day NJ Organizing Committee President Rajendra Shrestha and Convenor Sanjeeb Shrestha.
“This event is a celebration of our culture and an opportunity to bring communities together,” the organizers said in a statement.
Attendees can expect a range of activities, including authentic Nepali food and beverages, traditional arts and crafts exhibitions, cultural performances and community engagement programs. Vendor booths will also offer opportunities for local businesses to promote their products and services.
Organizers say the festival not only highlights Nepal’s cultural richness but also supports small businesses and fosters cross-cultural understanding.
Businesses, community organizations and individuals are invited to participate as vendors, sponsors or partners, reflecting the event’s inclusive approach to community engagement.
