A devastating incident has left the community of Manassas Park in shock after a Nepali family of four was found dead in what authorities are investigating as a murder-suicide.
The Manassas Park Police Department responded to a welfare check at a residence in the 9400 block of Lanae Lane on the evening of June 5, 2025, around 10:40 p.m., following a request from the homeowner concerned about his tenants.
Upon entering the downstairs apartment, officers discovered the bodies of Santosh Pariyar, 38, Anju Shrestha, 36, a 2-year-old boy, and an 8-year-old girl, all deceased from apparent gunshot wounds, according to police.

A firearm was recovered at the scene, and the police have classified the incident as a potential murder-suicide. The victims’ bodies were transported to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Manassas for further examination to determine the precise circumstances of their deaths.
The investigation remains ongoing, with authorities working to notify the next of kin. The Manassas Park Police Department has urged the public to remain patient as they continue their inquiry into this tragic event.
