NYC Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs and Telemundo to Host Free Immigration Information Phone Bank

The New York City Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (MOIA) and Telemundo have partnered to host a free immigration information phone bank aimed at helping immigrant New Yorkers access legal resources and referrals. This initiative is designed to provide confidential and multilingual assistance to those seeking guidance on immigration-related concerns.

The phone bank will take place on Wednesday, February 19, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. During this time, New Yorkers can call the dedicated phone line at 888-958-5264 to receive free, confidential information and referrals. The event is being organized in collaboration with Catholic Charities, the New York State Office for New Americans, and MOIA, ensuring that community members receive trusted and accurate information.

Immigrant New Yorkers who need guidance about their rights, legal pathways, or available city services are encouraged to participate. Additionally, they can visit nyc.gov/immigrants for further resources and information on immigrant rights in New York City.

The phone bank will be held at the Catholic Charities Community Services’ Immigrant and Refugee Division, located at 80 Maiden Lane, New York, NY 10038. Notable figures attending the event include Monsignor Kevin Sullivan, Executive Director of Catholic Charities of NY; Laura Gonzalez-Murphy, Executive Director of the Office for New Americans, New York Department of State; Manuel Castro, Commissioner of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs; and Beatriz Daiz Taveras, Executive Director of Catholic Charities Community Services.
