The U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu is set to implement changes to its appointment system starting February 8. From this date, the login, profile, and appointment-related pages will have a new interface, as announced by the embassy. The login web address will also be different from the previous one.
Applicants logging in under the new system will need to create a new profile, and this requirement will apply to existing users as well. The embassy has clarified that every visa applicant, including children, must have their own profile with a valid email address, which must be functional.

Users can register their profile by clicking on the sign-up link. Existing users must continue using their previously registered email to access past payment receipts and book future appointments. If the visa fee was paid on or before February 3, 2025, but has not been linked to a profile, applicants must retrieve their receipt through the sign-up link, according to the embassy.
Before the new system goes live, from February 5 to 7, fee payment services, call center services, and appointment scheduling or rescheduling will be unavailable, the embassy has stated. However, all previously scheduled interviews will proceed as planned. Additionally, passport submission and collection services will remain available, along with the facility for submitting additional documents for pending applications.
