In an effort to support the local immigrant community, a free citizenship application assistance event will be held at the Queens Library in Flushing, NYC, on Monday, July 15.
The event, scheduled from 10 am to 3 pm, will provide eligible individuals with free guidance and support in completing their U.S. citizenship applications and fee waivers.

To be eligible for U.S. citizenship, individuals must be at least 18 years old, have been a permanent resident (green card holder) for at least 5 years (or 3 years if married to a U.S. citizen), and meet other requirements such as demonstrating good moral character, knowledge of English, and knowledge of U.S. history and government.
