Nepal Day Parade Set to Showcase Nepali Culture in New York on Sunday

The organizers have announced that preparations for the Nepal Day Parade, which will take place in New York on Sunday (May 21), have been completed. According to Tak Bahadur Ruwali, the convener of the organizing committee, all arrangements for the event have been finalized. Ruwali stated, “Let’s meet in Manhattan, New York, on Sunday and showcase Nepal’s identity to the global community.”

He also mentioned that the sub-committees formed for the event are in the final stages of preparation. The Nepal Day Parade is an annual program held in New York to celebrate and highlight Nepali language and culture.

During the event, Nepali singers will present various entertainment programs featuring songs, dances, and music. The program will take place in Manhattan, New York.

Angchiring Sherpa, the president of the NRNA New York chapter and a member of the organizing committee, expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by officials from various organizations and notable social figures, as they have played a crucial role in ensuring the success of the program. He expects a strong turnout from everyone on that day.

“It is a matter of great pride to organize such an event in New York,” said Ramhari Adhikari, the former president of the New York chapter. He also took the opportunity to mention that a street in Jackson Heights, New York, has been named Mount Everest Way.

Rameshwar Burlakoti, the coordinator of the Economic Committee of Nepal Day Parade, stated that financial support is being received from various associations and social activists in New York to fund the event.
