The U.S. Embassy in Kathmandu is inviting all American citizens residing in or visiting Nepal to a Town Hall meeting on Friday, September 20, 2024. The event will take place from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Moksh Restaurant in Jhamsikhel, Lalitpur.

In a recent notice, the Embassy emphasized the importance of advance registration, which is required by Wednesday, September 18, 2024. The Embassy stated, “All American citizens and their families in Nepal are invited to attend, and advance registration is required.”

The Town Hall will feature remarks from the Ambassador, the Consular Section, USAID, and the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC). Following the presentations, there will be a question-and-answer session, providing an opportunity for attendees to engage directly with the speakers.

To register, attendees must email KathmanduACS@state.gov with the full name and passport number of each family member planning to attend. The Embassy also welcomes guests of all nationalities to accompany an American citizen, provided they pre-register as well.

The Embassy encourages all American citizens in Nepal to participate in this event, stating, “Please make sure to register for the event before Wednesday, September 18, 2024. Also, please feel free to extend the invitation to any American citizens living in or visiting Nepal.”
