The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has issued a reminder to all applicants and petitioners to ensure they are using the current editions of all required forms when submitting their applications. This announcement comes after the release of new editions for most forms on April 1, 2024.
USCIS had previously informed stakeholders that they would accept prior editions of most forms during a grace period which ended on June 3, 2024. During this grace period, both previous and new editions of certain forms were accepted, provided they were filed with the correct fee.
Applicants who downloaded or printed their forms before April 1, 2024, are advised to verify the current edition dates, as USCIS will no longer accept prior editions. The edition date for each form can be found under the “Edition Date” section on the respective form’s webpage, as well as at the bottom of the page on the form and its instructions.
It is crucial for applicants to ensure that all pages of their submissions are from the same form edition. Forms containing pages from different editions may be rejected by USCIS, potentially delaying the application process.
