Free Mental Health Seminar for Nepali-Speaking Community in Jersey City on June 30th

HUDSON S.P.E.A.K.S. and its partner organizations invite the Nepali-speaking community to a free Mental Health Seminar on Sunday, June 30th, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The event will take place at 81 Sip Ave., Jersey City, NJ 07306.

“The seminar aims to address critical mental health topics, including anxiety, depression, suicide, PTSD, and recognizing mental health warning signs and risk factors. Embrace your wellness, inner peace, and mindfulness,” said Dr. Bishnu Maya Pariyar, Program Director of HUDSON S.P.E.A.K.S. Against Sexual Violence.

The event features a lineup of distinguished speakers, including Bishnu Maya Pariyar, M.A., Hon. DLItt., Program Director of HUDSON S.P.E.A.K.S.; Dinesh Shrestha, LPC, LCDC-I, M.Sc. Counseling, Clinical Therapist at Mind Therapy Services, TX; Deepak Chaudhari, MPA, NYU, Community Engagement and Training Specialist at NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene; and Mitsu Puri, M.A. Psychology, Columbia University, NYC Department of Health & Mental Hygiene.

As the Program Director of HUDSON HUDSON S.P.E.A.K.S.  Against Sexual Violence, Dr. Bishnu Maya Pariyar has provided counsel and support to countless survivors of sexual assault.

The event is co-hosted by Training, Access, Progress (TAP), Bolo Behen (Speaks Sister), Voces Sin Fronteras, and Women for Cause (WFC).

HUDSON SPEAKS is a sexual assault prevention, intervention, and aftercare center in Hudson County, New Jersey. They provide services to all survivors of sexual assault (excluding those under the age of 13), regardless of race, religion, financial status, immigration status, educational background, gender identity, or sexual preference.
