The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is reminding applicants and petitioners that several immigration forms will be updated on April 1, 2024. Due to changes required to implement new fee rules, there will be no grace period for using the older versions of these forms.
The impacted forms include:
- Form I-129, Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker;
- Form I-129 CW, Petition for a CNMI-Only Nonimmigrant Transitional Worker;
- Form I-140, Immigrant Petition for Alien Workers;
- Form I-600, Petition to Classify Orphan as an Immediate Relative; and
- Form I-600A, Application for Advance Processing of an Orphan Petition, and the form’s supplements.
Applicants submitting any of these forms after April 1, 2024 must use the new “04/01/24” edition. USCIS will reject any application submitted with an older version of the form. Preview versions of the new forms are already available on the USCIS website. Applicants should also be sure to consult the USCIS Fee Schedule G-1055 to ensure they include the correct fee with their application.
